My Story

Hi! I’m Jasmine Villa, a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) in the state of Texas under the supervision of Jonette Lucio, MA, LPC-S. I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas A&M University–San Antonio and hold bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Psychology. I provide counseling in English y tambien en Espanol.

I am passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges, better understand themselves, and create meaningful change. I enjoy working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, life transitions, stress, self-esteem challenges, and other difficulties that can arise throughout life. I strive to create a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves and exploring what matters most to them.

I also have a special interest in grief, loss, and bereavement. I recognize that grief is deeply personal and can extend beyond the death of a loved one to include pregnancy and infant loss, changes in relationships, identity, and other significant life transitions. I believe there is no single right way to grieve and aim to provide clients with space to process their experiences while finding ways to carry their loss and continue moving forward.

My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and client-centered. I believe clients deserve a space where they feel genuinely heard and supported while also being encouraged to explore new perspectives and patterns. I draw from existential therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered, narrative, and solution-focused approaches based on each client’s unique needs and goals. For clients who desire it, I am also comfortable incorporating faith and spirituality into the counseling process.

My goal is to meet you where you are and help you develop greater self understanding, recognize your strengths, and move toward a life that feels meaningful and authentic. I believe counseling is not about telling you how to live your life, but creating a space where you can better understand yourself and feel empowered to determine what moving forward looks like for you.
