Common Questions

Before You Reach Out

How do I book a free consultation?

Book a free consultation through the scheduler on this page. The secure client portal is also available.

Do I need a diagnosis or a referral to begin?

No. You do not need a diagnosis, a referral, or the right words for what is happening. A consultation is a good place to start from wherever you are.

Which languages is therapy available in?

Therapy is available in English and American Sign Language. Ashley Gutierrez, LPC-Associate, is fluent in American Sign Language and works with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community.

Where do sessions take place?

Guiding Hope is a virtual practice. Sessions happen online, so you can attend from a private space that works for you.

Do you work with teens?

Yes. Several clinicians on the team work with teens as well as adults, and each therapist profile lists who they see.

What should I do if I need help right now?

If you are in crisis, call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, or call 911 in an emergency. The Postpartum Support International Helpline is 1-800-944-4773.
