Insurance, Payment, and Getting Started
Which insurance plans are you in network with?
Guiding Hope is in network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and UnitedHealthcare. Coverage and benefits vary by plan, so please confirm your behavioral health benefits with your insurer.
What if my plan is not one of those?
You are still welcome. We can provide a superbill you may submit to your insurer for possible out-of-network reimbursement, and self-pay is welcome. Ask about current rates during your free consultation.
What are the self-pay rates?
Self-pay is welcome. Provisionally licensed clinicians offer a lower-cost option. Ask about current self-pay rates during your free consultation. All sessions are telehealth.
What is a provisionally licensed clinician?
A provisionally licensed clinician is an associate-level therapist who practices under the supervision of a named, independently licensed supervisor. Each associate's profile lists their license number and their supervisor.
Is the consultation really free?
Yes. The consultation is free and is a chance to ask questions, describe what you are looking for, and consider whether a clinician feels like a fit.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please give at least 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations and missed sessions carry a fee.
Can you see clients outside Texas?
The Guiding Hope team provides therapy to Texas residents. Dr. Ashley Carroll-Brown additionally holds interjurisdictional authority through PSYPACT to provide telehealth in the participating locations listed on this page.
