What We Treat

Women's Mental Health Therapy

So much of Guiding Hope's work is with women: women carrying anxiety, healing from trauma, becoming mothers, and tired of being the strong one.

01

Why Women's Mental Health Deserves Its Own Focus

Women are more likely than men to experience anxiety and depression, and many go through experiences that shape mental health in specific ways, including pregnancy, postpartum, infertility, caregiving, workplace pressure, and abuse.

Women are also often the ones holding everyone else together, which can make it hard to admit you need support yourself.

02

The Clinicians Behind This Work

Dr. Ashley Carroll-Brown specializes in helping anxious and traumatized women rediscover who they are, and in helping pregnant and postpartum women navigate motherhood without losing themselves. Odette Gonzalez specializes in working with women who have experienced trauma, abuse, anxiety, and depression, and helps clients rebuild self-worth and set healthy boundaries.

Mallori Thompson focuses on helping women find healing and confidence through every stage of life, including high-achieving African American women. Ashley Gutierrez supports high-achieving women navigating perfectionism, religious trauma, OCD, and anxiety.

03

What Therapy Can Offer

A place where you do not have to perform. Practical tools for anxiety and overwhelm. Room to process what happened to you, and support to set boundaries and make decisions from a steadier place.

The first step is a free consultation. It is a short conversation where you can say what is going on, ask how online sessions work, and hear which clinician may be the best fit. There is no obligation, and you do not need to have the right words ready.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Is women's mental health therapy available online anywhere in Texas?

Yes. Every session at Guiding Hope is held by secure video, and all of our clinicians are licensed in Texas, so you can meet from anywhere in the state.

Do you take insurance?

Guiding Hope is in network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and UnitedHealthcare. Coverage varies by plan, and superbills are available for out-of-network reimbursement.

What happens in the free consultation?

You share a little about what is bringing you in, ask any practical questions, and talk through which clinician may fit. It is a conversation, not a commitment.

What if I am in crisis right now?

Please call 911 if you are in immediate danger, or call or text 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. Guiding Hope offers scheduled outpatient therapy and is not an emergency service.

You Can Begin With a Conversation

A free consultation can help you ask questions, share what you are looking for, and consider whether one of our clinicians feels like a fit.
