What We Treat

Stress and Burnout Therapy

Burnout is not a lack of willpower. It is what happens when the demands on you outpace what you have to give for too long.

01

Signs You Are Past Ordinary Stress

Stress usually has a clear cause and eases when the pressure lifts. Burnout lingers. You may feel emotionally drained, cynical about work or caregiving that once mattered to you, less effective no matter how hard you try, and unable to recover over a weekend.

Physical signs are common too: headaches, poor sleep, getting sick more often, and a tired that coffee does not touch.

02

Who It Affects

Burnout shows up in professionals, students, caregivers, parents, and people working long or irregular shifts. It often lives alongside anxiety, perfectionism, and high-functioning depression, which is why it can be hard to untangle alone.

Stress and emotional overwhelm is one of the top three concerns people bring to Guiding Hope.

03

How Therapy Helps

Your clinician will help you look at what is actually draining you, where the pressure is coming from, and what can realistically change. Work often includes boundary setting, challenging the beliefs that keep you overcommitting, rebuilding rest, and reconnecting with the parts of life that give energy back.

Janell Goler works with teens and adults navigating stress with a holistic, solution-focused approach. Dr. Ashley Carroll-Brown focuses on helping professional women develop a healthier mindset and thrive amid the challenges they face.

04

Fitting Therapy Around a Full Life

Sessions are online, so there is no commute. Janell Goler is our primary evening and weekend clinician, and Ashley Gutierrez also offers evening and weekend telehealth for people who cannot step away during the workday.

Guiding Hope is in network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and UnitedHealthcare. Coverage varies from plan to plan, so it is worth confirming your benefits before your first session. If you are out of network, the practice can provide a superbill you may be able to submit for reimbursement.

What happens in the free consultation?

You share a little about what is bringing you in, ask any practical questions, and talk through which clinician may fit. It is a conversation, not a commitment.

What if I am in crisis right now?

Please call 911 if you are in immediate danger, or call or text 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. Guiding Hope offers scheduled outpatient therapy and is not an emergency service.

You Can Begin With a Conversation
