Guiding Growth.
Restoring Hope.
01
Friendswood is a family-oriented city south of Houston that straddles Galveston and Harris counties, known for its schools and close-knit neighborhoods.
In a close-knit community, some people hesitate to be seen walking into a therapist's office. Online sessions from home offer privacy as well as convenience.
02
Whatever brings you in, you will be matched with a clinician whose focus fits. Guiding Hope works with teens and adults on anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, stress and burnout, relationships, and pregnancy and postpartum mental health, and offers LGBTQIA+ affirming care and therapy in American Sign Language.
03
Odette Gonzalez, LCSW, has sixteen years in the field and specializes in working with women who have experienced trauma, abuse, anxiety, and depression, using a collaborative, trauma-informed approach. She sees teens and adults.
Janell Goler, LPC-Associate, is a person-centered, solution-focused therapist who works with teens and adults navigating stress, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. She is a veteran and a mother.
Mallori Thompson, LPC-Associate, supports women through infertility, pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, and the move into motherhood, and has a particular passion for high-achieving African American women carrying high-functioning anxiety and depression.
04
Guiding Hope is in network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and UnitedHealthcare. Coverage varies from plan to plan, so it is worth confirming your benefits before your first session. If you are out of network, the practice can provide a superbill you may be able to submit for reimbursement.
The first step is a free consultation. It is a short conversation where you can say what is going on, ask how online sessions work, and hear which clinician may be the best fit. There is no obligation, and you do not need to have the right words ready.
