Where We Work
Pregnancy is supposed to be exciting. When it is mostly frightening, you deserve support, not reassurance to just relax.

Guiding Growth.
Restoring Hope.
01
Pregnancy anxiety can look like constant worry about the baby's health, fear of birth, intrusive thoughts, trouble sleeping, and checking or reassurance-seeking that never quite settles the fear. It is common, especially after a loss, infertility, or a difficult previous birth.
Houston is the largest city in Texas and one of the most diverse in the country, a place of long commutes, packed calendars, and people working everywhere from the Texas Medical Center to the energy corridor.
02
Dr. Ashley Carroll-Brown's specialty areas include pregnancy and postpartum, and she is pursuing certification in perinatal mental health. Mallori Thompson supports women through infertility, pregnancy, and the move into motherhood.
03
When you are pregnant in Houston, especially late in pregnancy or on modified activity, meeting from home is one less thing to manage.
Every Guiding Hope clinician is licensed in Texas and meets clients by secure video anywhere in the state, so you choose a therapist for fit rather than for how close their office is.
04
Guiding Hope is in network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and UnitedHealthcare. Coverage varies from plan to plan, so it is worth confirming your benefits before your first session. If you are out of network, the practice can provide a superbill you may be able to submit for reimbursement.
The first step is a free consultation. It is a short conversation where you can say what is going on, ask how online sessions work, and hear which clinician may be the best fit. There is no obligation, and you do not need to have the right words ready.

Common Questions
Yes. Every session at Guiding Hope is held by secure video, and all of our clinicians are licensed in Texas, so you can meet from anywhere in the state.
Guiding Hope is in network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and UnitedHealthcare. Coverage varies by plan, and superbills are available for out-of-network reimbursement.
You share a little about what is bringing you in, ask any practical questions, and talk through which clinician may fit. It is a conversation, not a commitment.
Please call 911 if you are in immediate danger, or call or text 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. Guiding Hope offers scheduled outpatient therapy and is not an emergency service.
A free consultation can help you ask questions, share what you are looking for, and consider whether one of our clinicians feels like a fit.
